For the 2nd year, Crossroads partnered with Camp BioE to offer scholars bio-engineering, regenerative medicine, and other biology related learning opportunities. Our rising sophomores were exposed to both engineering and biology career fields, while participating in hands on experiences like DNA analysis, dissecting farm animals, and 3D printing.
Scholars explored a vast array of different technology careers available in the Pittsburgh region. These careers included coding, computer refurbishing, space exploration and aviation, virtual reality, and self-driving vehicles. Representatives from both Uber Technologies and NASA gave students an in-depth and interactive look at what they do each day.
