Sr. Sandy Kiefer has served scholars at Crossroads Foundation for over 30 years, in every capacity from Counselor to Executive Director. Currently, as Director of Academic Support Services, she serves as a teacher, mentor, and advocate for scholars, and coordinates Crossroads’ academic support systems--including daily tutoring, guidance, and intervention. Sr. Sandy holds her Bachelor of Arts in education and biology from Carlow University, and a master’s in theology from Duquesne University. She has been a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden for 50 years, during which time she has served as a missioner in the Amazon, Brazil; a 7th- & 8th-grade classroom teacher; the principal of Holy Rosary School; and a steadfast proponent of Crossroads Foundation since its inception in 1988.
"Education continues to offer hope to young people who dream of a better life," Sr. Sandy says. "That's the reason Crossroads exists, and watching our young scholars succeed remains inspirational even after 30 years."
